The day of LOVE! 2-14

It has been a busy time. I went Walla Walla, WA last weekend and took lessons with Andy Shafer I rode Rex it was GREAT! I loved the lessons I learned and it helped me get out of my rut I had fallen into. I love learning. Celeste rode Nala and they did great! Midge was riding Lady and had a great workout as well. This week I got to spend alot of time in the gym, with the horses and getting all the women's retreat stuff sent out and Boot Camp flyers ready!

We had snow last Friday so we took some great photos of the herd! Some good ones for advertising! So glad I have super friends that can take great photos.

The ladies retreat is becoming a HOT topic! Hope you are considering joining us in Eastern Oregon for a GREAT time with a friends new and old and your horse! We got the count on the mares and when they should be foaling we will have to start watching early April and we ill be foaling into June. We will start breeding back our mares in March and so we will have ealry foals in March and maybe in Feb in 2014!  We are bringing Fancy back into the broodmares for next year a foal, so excited! That is her front and center she has given us outstanding foals and last year she was my son's 4h horse, so we are excited to have her back in the baby ring.
The Rusty Spurs 4H club will start their free rides for Feb this Sunday and so I will be there to support them. I am sure the kids are excited, I can't believe we are already going into Feb. HANG on it is going fast.

What a GREAT weekend! I got to get 4 horses feet trimmed, got to take a horse and show to a client for a sale and he will be going to their home and his new home! I am hoping that Hitch will soon find his home as well. We also have a few babies that are up for sale. We doing the buy them before they hit the ground specails~ $1,000 and you by your foal, either pick your mare, or pick the sex and get the first one born. Pretty great deal you don't have to wait a year and have all the expenses, considering Chex's stud fee is $950 you are saving money! But if you still want to breed your mare save $200 and book before 2-14-2013!

I got to ride Rex yesterday and learn more about him. WOW not sure what I was thinking when I bought him for my son! I am will continue to pray! And then Dez was back in the saddle while Music is on the road to recovery she rode Sugar and was loping and I was so proud of her! What a long ways she has come in the years! I love spending riding time with her. GREAT horses, great times!!!

We are sooo excite for the summer and all the things we have coming your way! If you are interested in raffle tickets for the Rusty Spurs 4H clubs Valentine's day baskets- they have 3 this year. Tickets are $1 for one or 6 tickets for $5.00 email me if you want tickets dunfoxy@gmail.com

Welcome to our NEW blog page.. we are hoping to get more people to our website and getting more information out for all the horse people in the world! I am here to help all horse people! And it is real from me to you! So if you desire to know more about horses, need some help in your adventures with your horses or want to know more about horse events in the area.
We have women's retreat, clinics, camps, we host family nights. I give lessons and have a 4h club and have been a leader for over 15 years, I have been a horse show judge for over 20 years for 4H, open and breed shows. I eat sleep and live HORSES. I grew up on a cattle ranch riding steep canyon country most my youth, went to college for Horsemanship and have a Degree in Horse Management. I have been honored to work with many youth throughout my life but in 2010 I gave lessons to a young lady from Oregon I had judged in 4H and rodeo competitions. She won the title of Miss Rodeo Oregon 2011 and I was able to work with her some more and let her ride my stallion I raised and trained. She went on to win the title of Miss Rodeo America 2012 Mackenzie Carr, this young lady gave me the biggest smile when she used something I said to her in the NFR book in 2012.. be careful what you say!
I stand a stallion he is my DREAM!!! He has given me dreams to raise and train as well. His name is Sonnys Bar Chex he is a beautiful 1995 Dun AQHA/NFQHA stallion he is truly a dream to ride, he produces amazing horses. I raised a beautiful dun mare "Chexs Go Lady" aka Lady I had the joy to ride her in the 2008 Extreme Cowboy Race with Craig Cameron! What a blast.

In 2007 I was one of the first trainers picked the top 100 out of 300 trainers to train a mustang in the Extreme Mustang Makeover! I finished in the top 25 even with a broken back!

My biggest JOY is being able to help people fulfill their dreams on horses or with horses!
